Teresa Williams, LMT, BCTMB, graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, D.C., in 1989 and taught there for 6 years. Since then, she has maintained a private massage therapy practice in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Teresa provides bodywork for stress reduction and relaxation to both computer "athletes" and traditional athletes. She is Board Certified, the highest voluntary credential in the massage profession. She has advanced training in many therapeutic massage techniques, including pregnancy, baby, sports, AIS, myofascial, Lomi Lomi, geriatric, and various energy-based therapies. She is interested in providing you with the most useful bodywork that you have ever received. Her palette includes techniques from time-honored massage modalities as well as cutting-edge approaches informed by our emerging understanding of fascia. Her credentials include: board certification (BCTMB #008845-00) and state license in Maryland (#M00288). She has been a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association for over 35 years. She is also a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
Teresa has provided massages for Congress members and their staff, theater and dance professionals, including The Shakespeare Theatre Company, labor unions, including AFA, both small and large organizations, including AARP, and many athletes, including Special Olympians, as well as other individuals throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
